A Character Interview

Character interviews are a great and fun way to brainstorm or just to get to know your character better! They're really simple to do. The questions can be tough and probing, (recommended for characters you have already made), or simple and basic (for brainstorming completely new characters.) I have decided to do a very brief one today with one of my favorite characters: Noelle Moonlight. If you don't know who Noelle is, go and read Three for a Sword. Now, the interview...
Q. "Hello and welcome! I'm Ocean Claire, your author. I've pulled you out of your world to mine for a brief interview. I apologize if I startled you. Why don't we just start with your name and what do you do?"
A. "Oh, hello! I'm Noelle Moonlight, heir to Moonlight Tribe in Pinewood Forest. I don't really do anything, unfortunately. I'm the princess for now, you see. But I'll be doing a lot of things once I'm Queen!"
Q. "Interesting. What sorts of things?"
A. "Defending the commoners and changing the way of life in the Moonlight Tribe, mostly. The commoners are being treated terribly here."
Q. "I'm sorry to hear that. What is your overall goal in life?"
A. "Well, firstly, to serve the Creator and embrace what He has for me. Secondly, to help as many creatures as I can. I'd also love to have a large family of my own someday."
Q. "Hey, that's amazing! I love that! Who would you say has had the biggest influence on your life and impacted you the most? And how?"
A. "That's a really good question. I would have to say my mother, because she taught me to love and trust the Creator, and the best life lessons. Even though I don't agree with her on the treatment of the commoners, she is still an amazing creature full of wisdom."
Q. "That's really neat. Now on a different note, what would be the worst thing that could ever happen to you?"
A. "The worst thing that could ever happen to me...*pauses to think and gazes off in the distance,* I think that would be if the three tribes of Pinewood were to go in an all out war on each other and completely destroy themselves. I don't dwell on that fear though, because the Creator is in control!"
Q. "Yikes, that does sound terrible! On a happier subject, what would be your ideal lifestyle?"
A. "To live in a reunited Pinewood Forest where all the creatures get along in harmony. And to have several children and a loving husband."
Q. "Last question. What makes you happy?"
A. "That one's easy! Playing hymns of praise to the Creator on my harmonica!"
Q. "Okay, that's it! Thank you so much for your time! I'll let you go back to Penetralia now. It was great talking to you!"
