A Helpful Writing Tip...

So I am currently in the process of writing the third book in my series, which is unofficially titled Ashes of the Past. I am doing something a little different when writing this story than I did when writing my past two. And that is commenting on my work using Microsoft Word. This is really helpful for me because I tend to be a perfectionist when writing. When I write a paragraph, I want it to be perfectly written right then and there. I can spend so much time working on one sentence, paragraph, or scene because I want to get it worded and described just right on the first try. I have discovered that if I use the comments on Microsoft Word, I can just comment on a section that I think needs work, explain in the comment what needs to be done, and move on. I get more writing done this way, and it's so much less stressful! It has helped me move on with my writing when combating writer's block. It's also fun just to jot down your reactions and thoughts to your writing! When I'm done with my draft, I will go back, view all my comments, and fix the problems during the editing process.

I have been doing this for several months now, and it's working great for me so far! If you aren't already doing this when writing, I highly recommend it!
